Kenya Private Sector Alliance
The Conference which was held in August 2009 at Leisure Lodge Resort was the inaugural formal meeting of the Members of the Kenyan Parliament and the private sector and the first of its kind in the country.
Leisure Lodge Resort hosted over 200 delegates among them Members of Parliament led by H.E. the President and the Speaker of the National Assembly, cabinet ministers, business executives, development partners, EALA Members of Parliament and former European Parliamentarians.
Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) is an apex body for private sector organisations in the country.
It was incorporated in August 2003 under the Kenya Companies Act (Chapter 486 of the Laws of Kenya) as a company limited by guarantee.
The overall agenda of KEPSA is to provide "one voice" for the private sector to engage in public policy dialogue and hence influence public policy formulation. It therefore provides the framework for public-private partnership.
KEPSA membership comprises:
* Sector associations.
* Sector federations.
* Multi-sectoral thematic organisations.
* Corporate as support members.
